Never Pay Too Much For Amazing Eyeshadows EVER AGAIN

I don't know how much I can talk about a company but lord o lordy I love Coastal Scents. I just made my third order of 4 eyeshadows (Hot Pots), a brush guard pack, some brushes, emptie magnetic palettes. Everything for 34 dollars! Everything is 40% off right now so I was very tempted to just go Costal Scents crazy. Their eyeshadows are amazing, so butter smooth, pigmented and so affordable 1.95 per shadow. Each Shadow comes in a magnetized pan (works for Z palettes). They have the largest color selection I have ever seen. Neutrals, brights, mattes, satins, and shimmers. They also sell large value palettes I have the 88 Neutral Palette which is perfect for jobs and when I feel like having tons of amazing options. I purchased the eye-primer and no disappointments their. The only product that didn't meet my expectations was their GO palette Cairo. The shadows didn't have the same formulation has the hot pots in my option they were a little chalky. That said the color range is great with a whole bottom row of matte colors. 12 shadows for 9 dollars is a good deal. I just want to try everything, and probably could without breaking the bank because everything is so affordable. Also the shipping is great nothing has every come damaged or tampered with. However my favorite thing about the company is that they are CRUELTY FREE.

So with all that in mind here is my 2014 Costal Scents wish list!

Brushes

  1. Classic Stippling Synthetic
  2. Classic Round Duo Fiber  Synthetic
  3. Pro Blending Fluff

Shadows (Hot Pots)

  1. Frosty Taupe
  2. Root Beer
  3. Elven Gold
  4. Olivewood
  5. Light Plum
  6. Wild Raisin

  1. Mocha
  2. Raven
  3. Sienna

Lastly the Bright Eyed Eye Brightener in Ivory.

So if my fairy god mother could send these things to me that would be much appreciated. Thank you!

NEW WET N WILD

OMG SO EXCITED THAT I MUST USE ALL CAPS

I don't know why but when a drugstore brand comes out with new products I just get so excited. The idea of potentially amazing affordable products is my drug of choice. Do you guys get excited when you hear about new drugstore collections, or it is just me being crazy.  What are you most excited about? Personally I am looking forward to  the 5 pan eyeshadow palette with the brown tones. Unfortunately my drugstores never get new products until months after they come out so I might have to wait awhile.

Pop Beauty Rouge Mix Lip & Cheek Portfolio *First Impression*

Hello beauty lovers so I have received some makeup gifts! I am going to do a Hanukkah haul but I hough I would first impressions post before I do the haul.

Pop beauty is a "high end" drug store brand that I have only seen in Duane Reads. But it is sold on Haute Look all the time.

Costal Scents Go Palette Cairo

I ordered a bunch of stuff from coastal scents and the Go Palette which I assume is made for on the go, or travel caught my eye. It is a hard sturdy plastic palette with 12 eyeshadows. The colors are mostly warm toned with a few cool. Right up front I am going to say that I am not a huge fan of this palette and was a let down because it wasn't near the pigmentation of the Hot Pots.

Recommendations!

So it is that time for another recommendations  where I recommend food, makeup, iphone apps, etc. If you didn't catch last weeks post then click the like right here.

Food/Snacks

  • Kashi Soft Baked Almond Squares
    • these little pastry bars are so delicious. They are great in the morning with a cup of coffee or tea and make great deserts after dinner.

  • Chobani Greek Yogurt
    • Some of my favorite flavors are the raspberry with chocolate flakes, peach, black berry, and coconut. I love to eat them for breakfast or for an afternoon snack. Very tart though so it you want something sweet I wouldn't go for greek yogurt (its lower calories though).

Recommendation Monday!

So this is part of a new series that I am calling Recommendation Monday. Where I make recommendations on books, movies, makeup, youtubers, snacks, apps etc. Comment down below if you have any recommendations that you would like to share.

Media.
  1. Mary and Max
    • So this week I have been loving me some netflix.  I watched some really good movies in the past couple of days. My favorite was a great claymation movie called Mary and Max. It was really well done and beautiful. The art was amazing I couldn't believe the attention to detail was put into this movie. It's instant go watch it.
  2. Tiny Tower (app)
    • This is a really cute game, where you create an apartment building. It reminds me of a less sophisticated zoo tycoon. It is 8-bit animation and just so adorable. It you like games where it takes no skill or strategy then this is the game for you.
  3. Bloglovin (app/website)
    • Bloglovin a website where you can have a dashboard of all your favorite blogs. It makes it really easy to stay up to date because everything is all in one place. They have an app for the iphone which I'm always on (second to tumblr).
  4. 8tracks (app/website)
    1. 8tracks is a free music player where you can type in a mood or a genre of music and a playlists will pop up for your listening pleasure. I think this is a great app if you have wifi and you are sick of your own itunes library. It's a perfect mix of pandora and spotify.

Products
  1. Revlon Matte Blams
    • I have been wearing them for a few weeks and I am in love with them. So smooth and amazing color. I have two colors a rose and a purple.
  2. Cerave Hydrating Cleanser
    • This is my all time favorite cleanser it so gentle and never makes my skin feel tight and dry. It doesn't lather it's just a clear cream and removes makeup and dirt. You can get it at the drugstore, the best part t it is not overpriced like some drugstore cleansers. It is a great winter cleanser, I just ran out a week and ago and repurchased a new bottle. I forgot how much I loved it until I my skin started to have dry patches because of the weather. Side-note it also works as a good brusher cleanser.
  3. 12 Hr Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Continuous Almond
    • I have been using this as a base under my eyeshadows so they have something to stick to and it works pretty well. It doesn't prevent creasing (wear a primer under) but it does give a good base and makes the colors on top of it pop.
Food
  1. Nature Valley Granola Thins Crispy Squares Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter
    • These little squares are my new snack obsession. They are soooooo good. I love dark chocolate and peanut-butter it is my favorite food combination. These are great breakfast food or mid meal snack because they are only 80 calories. I literally almost ate the entire box in one sitting but, I wouldn't recommend that.
  2. Yogi Mayan Cocoa Spice Tea
    • This is one of the rare teas that tastes as good as it smells. It is a blend of chai spices with cocoa powder. I am obsessed. It is a bitter tea so I like to put sugar (stevia) in it and milk. I recently have been paring it with hazelnut creamer and it is AMAZING.
I hope that this blog post was interesting. Again put your own recommendation in the comments and tell me whether you would like to see another of these next monday.

NARS Guy Bourdin Holiday Collection Limited Edition One Night Stand Cheek Palette

I have always lusted over NARS products especially their blushes. They are known for being so pigmented, smooth and just overall amazing. I love NARS but I'm not a huge fan of their prices, they are one of the most expensive high end brands (but not as bad as Dior). Around the holiday times NARS usually comes out with pallets that have multiple products for a great price (considering the individual price of their products). So I wanted blushes, and guess what NARS came out with an amazing blush palette with their two best sellers Orgasim (blush) and Laguna (bronzer).

Sweater Weather Tag

So this tag has gone around Youtube and the blog sphere and basically everyone and their mother is doin it. So I though well I MUST DO IT. So here is my versions of the Sweater Weather Tag

1. Favorite Candle Scent?
    • I am not a candle user. I know that every beauty guru is obsessed with candles but I'm just not a fan. How ever I do have a cinnamon broom in my bed room and it is amazing. I love spicy smells and the broom fills my whole room with the soft smell of cinnamon. You get cinnamon brooms at crafts stores but I got mine from Trader Joe's

2. Coffee, Tea or Hot Chocolate?
    • Coffee all the way. I am a two cup of day kind of girl and I drink even more during the winter and fall. I love lattes, PUMPKIN SPICE from Starbucks is awesome. But basically a classic cup of joe is good for me. I love walking home and having the coffee in the my hand. It is a hand warmer and it tastes so good.

3. Do you switch up your makeup routine for the season?
    • I don't change up my makeup but I do change my skincare. I have dry to combination skin and in the winter my skin is straight up parched. I like to use more moisturizing face washes, lotions and I cleans with oils and natural toners. because my skin is dry I don't like to use long wearing foundations as much because I find that they cling to dry patches. I love the Cover Girl Nature Luxe foundation for the winter.

4. Favorite Thanksgiving Food?
    • MASH POTATOES with tons of gravy enough said.

5. Hats of Scarves?
    • I am a hat girl all the way. I have big bushy hair and it is great to shove it under at hat and just forget about it. I love beanies and I am currently on the hunt for the perfect slouchy black beans. So if you have any suggestions post them in the comments.

6. Most Worn Sweater
    • My cat sweater from forever 21. So cozy, soft and cute. It is black and white basically goes with everything. It is a little bit longer than your average sweater and I love that it covers my behind when I wear leggings. It is baggy and just so cute I would be lost without it.

7. Must have nail polish?
    • I like Essie's Liquorish but, I really haven't been wearing nail polish lately. I do a lot of ceramics and the clay ruins your manicure instantly. It just isn't worth it any more. However I that said last year I loved OPI's Skull and Gloss Bones from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection. It was a light gray and was so pretty for the winter.

8. Foot Ball Games or Jumping into a pile of leaves?
    • Neither, I don't like this question. Sorry

9. Skinny Jeans of Leggings?
    • Leggings, leggings, leggings. So comfy and I love the thick ones from Hue that I bought in Italy they are so amazing.

10. Boots or Uggs?
    • Boots. I live my in calf engineer Frye boots. I have two pairs one black, and the other a burnt maroon. I love throwing on a pair of boots with high socks, leggings and a sweater. Comfy and so cute.

11. What is your #1 favorite thing about Fall?

    •  I love the clothes. I love wearing layers, hats, sweater and light jackets. I love that I can start drinking hot drinks outside and snuggle under blankets watching movies.

12.Do you have a song that gets you in the Fall mood or just a song you're loving at the moment?

    • I looked at my most played song and right now that would be Tennis Court By Lorde. Basically that is the only album that I have been listening to. I also have been loving Counting Stars by One Republic.

13. What is the Fall weather like where you currently live?

    • New York weather has been pretty crazy. Some days are really cold but recently the weather has been pretty mild. Its not really fall any more (it's December) but it usually is very cold. Windy, rainy and bitter.
Overall I love the coldish weather, not cold. But, coldish not freezing.

Wet N Wild Vamp It Up

So on my hunt for the perfect dark purple lipstick I came across Wet N Wild's Vamp It Up. The color is a super dark witchy eggplant with a creme finish. First off this lipstick is AMAZING

  1. it costs 2-3 dollars
  2. super duper opaque
  3. no gaps
  4. stays put, super duper long wearing
  5. feels great on your lips not super duper drying.
This lipstick is just amazing I can't even really tell you how much I love it. Some people aren't going to like this color, it is super duper gothic so beware. I like to wear this with a full face of foundation aka flawless skin, no blush, filled in brows and just some mascara. When you wear a lipstick this bold and dark you just want the rest of your face to be a clean blank canvas or else the lipstick will start to wear you and you won't be wearing the lipstick (if you know what I mean). You don't want this crazy dark color over powering the rest of your face. You need to create balance by going for a totally neutral look. Wearing any eyeliner or blush just makes you look like your wearing clown makeup.

I totally recommend this lipstick if you want a super dark vampy/gothic look. You don't need a lipliner but I would suggest apply with a lip brush to get a more precise application and more polished look. However with patience you can apply this nicely straight from the tube. If you don't own a lip-brush no problem, just used a small concealer brush instead, or a fine liner brush they work pretty much the same.

If you have been interested in experienmenting with black lipstick I would suggest working your way up to it. Try Vamp It Up first, get used to it, and partice wearing it. Then once you have mastered it you can move on to black. To wear black lipstick or any really gothic lip color you need to have confidence because some people are going to stare at you and just think
"what is that girl wearing, oh god it is so ugly IT BURNS MY EYES"

To sum things up this is a great product and I really want to try even more colors from the Wet N Wild line

Maybelline Shadow Duo in Browntones

I purchased a little mabelline brown eyeshadow duo thinking that it might be nice to travel with or through into a on-the-go makeup bag. The duo consists of two colors the larger pan contains a light cool tones brown and the small eyeshadow pan has a darker taupey brown. Both of the shadows contain shimmer.

The lighter brown shadow is very sheer and can be worn all over the lid to even out skin tone. It is definatly brown so if you have super pale skin this will not be equal to a vanilla color. If you have very dark skin this could be a good transition color or all over the lid. The shimmer looks really visible in the pan but on the lid is very sublte. This is a great neutral color and can work as a great light crease color for pale skin tones. Over all I like the pigmentation and it is soft and buttery to apply.

The darker brown color is way more pigmented and can really be built up to a full dark brown. When applied lightly it is a great natural crease color. This shimmer in this shadow gives it a sheen but it isn't too sparkly. Again has a great consistency and blends out easily. A great drugstore shadow.

Overall I am pretty happy with this little duo. The shadows could be more pigmented but they are still work pretty well. I would definitely recommend buying this if you are looking for some inexpensive neutral colors.

Covergirl Eye Enhancers In Sheerly Nudes

So I know, I know I haven't written anything In a while but school has been totally crazy. I purchased a Covergirl quad to see if maybe the Country Woods quad was just a bad one and didn't reflect the whole collection. I bought Sheerly Nudes which is very similar to Country Woods but is less has less amber undertones and more grey.
The quad (left to right) comes with a medium grey brown with shimmer, a medium brown pink with shimmer, a light frosty pink, and a frosty vanilla. The colors in the pan look pigmented but when swatched these are all sparkle and no color. The medium pink and the vanilla just show up as glitter. The brown color is a darker glitter. The only shadow having any pigment is the frosty light pink but that still isn't saying much. Overall you can't really do anything with this eyeshadow pallet except apply various types of slightly color shimmer to your eyes. Even with an eyeshadow primer this quad just does nothing. Overall it is a total dud and I have nothing more to really say about it. This product costs 6 to 7 dollars depending where you purchase it.

8 Fall and Winter Lip Colors (drugstore)

So I have collected a few (a lot) of berry, wine, and purple lipsticks that are great to wear during the fall and winter. I really like wearing a dark lipstick, minimal eyes, and thick defined brows during the colder seasons. I have swatched my collection on my arm and lips. Some of the lipsticks do look very similar when photographed but in person the difference is less subtle. Also all of the lipssticks are drugstore!

Revlon Brow Fantasy Review (rave)

I pretty much use all types of makeup products and it wasn't until a few months ago that I started to fill in my brows. For a while I tried different shadows but they were too light or some shadows were too dark. Everything made my brows just look fake and too thick. I tried pencils but I couldn't get light enough strokes for it to look seamless. However my sister purchased the Revlon Brow Fantasy pencil/gel duo but never really used it. She left it at home when she went off to collage and I tried it out.  And to my surprise it was a really good and so easy to use.

Easy Eyes With Maybelline Color Tattoos

School has started I no longer have 30 minutes to leisurely my makeup anymore. I know, sad faces all around. Taking my time, and doing my makeup is so relaxing for me. Just to sit down at my desk, pay attention to my face, and apply products is very cathartic. But, when I am rushing to get to school I need quick makeup fixes to get me out of the door. So here is my quick and easy eye look, it should take you just a few minutes to do, and the best part NO brushes needed!

If All Of My Makeup Disappeared (tag)

As you can tell by the title, this tag is about what ten items would you repurchase if all of your makeup disappeared. I know scary, if all of my makeup did actually disappear I would die. I think that this tag is really informative and interesting. Because it shows what products are the holy grails and best products ever in someones collection. I have picked out 10 items and one extra so I cheated a little bit.

Face Products

Covergirl Clean Oil Control Pressed Powder
I have combination skin, and a setting powder is necessary for me. This powder controls my oil, and doesn't cling to my dry skin areas. It really does absorb oil, so it is a great blotting powder also.

Physicians Strength Rx Concealer
This is a full coverage concealer, it so creamy and thick. A little goes a long way this can easily double up as foundation if I need it to. This works great over blemishes and under the eyes. Just a really great product at the drugstore.

NYX Dusty Rose Blush
This blush is so smooth, and applies like a dream. The color blends into my skin easily, looks very natural but gives my face a nice flush. It is matte, and so pigmented you just need to tap your brush in the pan and dust on to the apples of your cheeks. The color is my natural cheek flush, just a little bit more intense

Eye Products

Maybelline Color Tattoo Bad To The Bronze
This is a great all over the lid color, it is long lasting and mulit-dimensional. I just swipe this on to my lid, with my finger and blend out in the crease.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Barely Branded
Same deal as Bad To The Bronze, just so easy to use. This is even more natural than Bad To The Bronze, peachy golden nude shadow base that looks great all over the lid by itself or blended with Bad To The Bronze.

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara
I currently have this in brown (by mistake wasn't paying attention in the drugstore). I would repurchase this in black, thought I do like the brown fomula. This mascara separates my lashes, makes them longer and fabulous. It never flakes on me by the end of the day, I hate little black flecks under my eyes and this doesn't do that. I love the dry but kind of wet formula, it works great on the bottom lashes. This is a fantastic mascara.

Wet N Wild Walking On Egg Shells Trio
This palette lets me create the perfect neutral eye. The shadows are smooth, creamy, and pigminted. These shadows work great on their own, and look even better on top of my color tattoes. I love using the brown shade as a liner it is so pretty in the crease. I love this little palette.

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
I have oily eyelids, I need a primer even if I use an eyeshadow base. This is my most necessary product for long lasting eye shadows looks. I like the eden formula the best, because it evens out the color of my lids. Enough said

Rimmel Scandaleyes Khol Kajal in Nude
This is a nude waterproof liner. I put this in my waterline to widen my eyes and make me look more awake. If i'm not going to wear any a lot makeup I will put this on and mascara and head out of the door. The liner is creamy and does the job.

Jordana FabuLiner Brown
Great every day liquid liner. So easy to great a thin smooth line. Lasts forever, never flake, and it is just a quality product. I also have this in black but I like the brown formula better.

BONUS Product

Maybelline Baby Lips Grape Vine
You always need a chapstick. The grape color is my lips but better. I love the formula. Nothing more to say about this.

Blogging Schedule For Fall

Hi guys so lately I haven't been blogging as much because school has started. I am in my senior year and things are getting kind of crazy, with collage applications, standardized testing, and just plain ole homework. So now I have created a schedule for myself to keep me on track and blogging. You will see a new post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They could range from reviews, product comparisons, or just face of the days. I will limit myself to M/W/F posts only being able to have one face of the day. That way I don't just post my current makeup looks, and I have a better variety. Do expect that I will try to do face of the day on Tuesday but that isn't a promise.

Heres a preview of what I have in the works

  • Fall Lip looks/ my favorite fall lipsticks (drugstore only Wet n Wild, Revlon and Maybelline)
  • Dark Bold Lips nude simple eye with step by step photo tutorial
  • Brown, bronze, golden, and champagne fall eyes tutorial (drugstore only)
  • Small drugstore eye palette reviews (Covergirl, Maybelline)
  • Revlon Brow Fantasy Dual Sided Stick (pencil and gel) review and tutorial with step by step photos.
  • Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding review
  • Miss Jessie's Baby Butter Cream review
I have a lot of stuff lined up and I am trying to create really good content this month. So hopefuly most of these ideas will come to fruition.

Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque (review)

When I went to Rickies to pick up some Miss Jessie's products, and I also purchased this hair masque because my hair has been so dry lately. Like all Shea Moisturize products it is free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, paraffin, gluten, propylene glycol, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance, PABA, synthetic color, DEA, animal ingredients.

Coastal Scents Hot Pots Neutral Palette

Coastal Scents Hot Pots

Coastal Scents Hot Pots are creamy, smooth and so pigmented. But, the best part is they are so affordable. I have purchase a few and I am looking to pick up a few more. So I planned out my perfect Neutral Palette. Almost twice the amount of Shadows in the Urban Decay Naked Palette for a few dollars less.

Mattes

  • Pale Nude
  • Chamois nude
  • Kokomo Cafe*
  • Olivewood
  • Deep Roast*
  • Incognito
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Burnished Brunette
  • Barista*
  • New Terrian*
  • Profound plum
  • Wild Rasin
Shimmers/satins
  • Amber Bronze*
  • Copper Glaze
  • Caramel Ice*
  • Vanilla Sky*
  • Dark Goldenrod
  • Chocolate berry
  • Karat gold
  • Mai tai
  • Light bronze*
  • kodiak
Coastal Scents make quality eye shadows at a really affordable price. If you have always wanted MAC palettes but didn't want to pay 200 dollars Coastal Scents is a great option. The color selection is outstanding, and the formulas are great. Each of the shadows have a magnetized pan, so no magnet sticker needed. Coastal Scents also sell affordable fill-able palettes. The palettes aren't the most durable, but are good for a beginner. I would suggest if you want a really nice quality palette purchasing one from Z palette. Coastal Scents is always having sales, I purchased by Hot Pots for 95 cents instead of 1.95. Just check a few times a week and especially around the holiday season. Shipping was really easy, my shadows came wrapped in bubble wrap, and were  incased in hard plastic. Overall I definitely want to expand my Hot Pot collection.

Kat Von D Ladybird Palette Review

I hauled The Ladybird Palette a few weeks ago and I finally photographed it. I have been testing the palette out, trying different color combinations, the blend-ability, staying power, pigmentation. The palette consists of 8 shadows, and are .05 oz. The shadows are the same size as a MAC shadow, and Urban Decay shadows. The shadows are all matte, and are made with Rose extract, jojoba oil, vitamin E, and softening oil. They are also supposed to be long wearing, non-creasing or fading. The palette also comes with a mini brown eyeliner in Immortal Love (.028 oz). The color range of these shadows are mostly neutrals with a few wild cards. I bought this palette to be a more diverse Naked Basics but still giving me natural eye looks.

My Z Palette

After purchasing my Coastal Scents Hot Pots, I needed a palette to put them in so I purchased a Z palette. Z palettes are eyeshadow palettes with a magnetized bottom, and come with metal stickers so you can easily store de-poted shadows (blush, powder etc.). They come in a range of styles, and sizes and are pretty inexpensive.

Revlon PhotoReady Kajal Intense Eye Liner + Brightener

Went to the drug store and these pencils were on display and they caught my eye because of the neutral skin color. I am not a fan of using white eyeliner in the water line, I think it is too harsh looking. I was intrigued by the beige highlight side, and the dark color on the other. I purchased two liners in Emerald Empire, and Purple Reign.

EOS

EOS

I have purchased many a EOS lip balms and well I'm not too empressed. I know that people love EOS balms but I think it is all packaging and no formula. The little eggs are so cute, and I love using them. But, the actual product isn't very impressive. It feels very thick and waxy on the lips, it just doesn't really moisturize them. The balm feels nice on the lips when first applied but when it wears off your lips aren't any different. If anything they feel a little dry and I feel the need to reapply. Thus the cycle of dry lips continues. It is so unfortunate that EOS has a lack luster formula because the scents, flavors, and packaging are so amazing. The brand keeps coming out with new scents and they keep getting more and more enticing. The formula however stays the same, waxy and suckish.  What do you think? Do you love EOS lip balms, does the formula work for you?

Hair routine 9/2/13

Hair Trio

Miss Jessie's Baby Buttercreme
Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding
Trader Joe's Jojoba Oil

1. When my hair has been towel dried but still damp and rub a palm full of jojoba oil from my roots to ends. The oil is very dry and you could easily put too much so be careful.
2. Taking a dollop of the Buttercreme smooth it over section by section each time using more product until my whole head is saturated with the creme.
3. Taking a small scoop of the curly pudding I apply the product to my hair starting with one side avoiding my roots. Then I take a little more product and do the same to the other.
4. While rubbing in the pudding I stretch my curls out to their full length
5. Lastly I take a tiny amount of the pudding and apply some to my roots for frizz control
6. I then air dry my hair for bouncy long frizz free curls

The whole routine takes about 5 minutes.  A good way to tell if you have applied enough product is to scrunch your hair and listen for a squishy sounds. The squish means that you hair is saturated with product, as it dries it will absorb into the hair shaft and become soft and frizz free.

August Beauty Favorites

August Favorites

August has come and gone, and September is here. I can't believe that summer is over, it went by so fast. School is just days away, and I'm still in summer mode. In New York it is still hot, and of coarse muggy. I have tried a lot of new products this month so my favorites list, is quite long.

NYX Blush: Dusty Rose

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish: Soft N Gentle

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil: MIlk

Coastal Scents Hot Pot: Kokomo Cafe

Revlon Color Stay Foundation: Buff

EcoTools Blush Brush

Forever21 Love Roller Ball perfume

L'oreal MagicLumi Pen

Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding

Basically I have been using all of these products together. This is my current face routine.

I put a little bit of color stay foundation on, and then correct my under eye area with the Magiclumi pen. I dust on some NYX blush, and highlight my cheek bones with Soft N Gentle. I also put Soft N Gentle on my lids, and inner corners. I take a little of Kokomo cafe and blend it in my crease and fill my eyebrows. I use milk on my brow bone for a subtle high light.

Miss Jessie's Sample Pots

Curly Pudding, Rapid Recovery Treatment, Curly Meringue

In my search for the best curly hair product of all time, I hauled some sample sizes of Miss Jessie's products. I got two hair styling balms, the Curly Pudding (left) and the Curly Meringue (right). I also purchased a small jar of the Rapid Recovery Treatment (middle). A full size Miss Jessie's product costs about 20 to 30 dollars so I wanted to try out a few before I bought the full size. The little sample jars range from 7 to 9 dollars. Three sample jars costs about the same amount as one full size product.

Curly Pudding

Rapid Repair Treatment
Curly Meringue
Each of the small sample jars contains 2 oz worth of product. Depending on how much hair you have, the jars worth could last you a few weeks. When I have thoroughly used and tried each of the products I will do a full review of all of them. You can find Miss Jessie's at Ricky's NYC and Target.

Cosmetic Ban September 2013

Over the past month or so I have been buying a lot of cosmetics for back to school season and I need to take a break. So for 1 month I am doing a cosmetic purchase ban. That is right, 30 days, no spending money on cosmetics (unless it is to replace an essential something that I'm out of). So for the whole month of September no more purchasing, which really sucks because drugstores are coming out with fall collections. Hopefully this ban will inspire me to take more face of the day photos, and photographing tutorials.

September goals:
  • school bag/purse makeup pouch essentials
  • neutral eye tutorials
  • whats in my shower
  • makeup storage
  • 5 minuet makeup tutorial
Those are my goals for September lets see which ones actually happen.

NYX The Curve Liner (review)

I was recently given a gift and it was the NYX The Curve Liner. The Curve Liner is your average liquid liner but, hold on it has a HUGE handle. The thing that sets this liner apart from other liners is the special handle. The Curve liner is designed to make application easier by giving you a steady hand and grip.
