Maybelline Shadow Duo in Browntones

I purchased a little mabelline brown eyeshadow duo thinking that it might be nice to travel with or through into a on-the-go makeup bag. The duo consists of two colors the larger pan contains a light cool tones brown and the small eyeshadow pan has a darker taupey brown. Both of the shadows contain shimmer.

The lighter brown shadow is very sheer and can be worn all over the lid to even out skin tone. It is definatly brown so if you have super pale skin this will not be equal to a vanilla color. If you have very dark skin this could be a good transition color or all over the lid. The shimmer looks really visible in the pan but on the lid is very sublte. This is a great neutral color and can work as a great light crease color for pale skin tones. Over all I like the pigmentation and it is soft and buttery to apply.

The darker brown color is way more pigmented and can really be built up to a full dark brown. When applied lightly it is a great natural crease color. This shimmer in this shadow gives it a sheen but it isn't too sparkly. Again has a great consistency and blends out easily. A great drugstore shadow.

Overall I am pretty happy with this little duo. The shadows could be more pigmented but they are still work pretty well. I would definitely recommend buying this if you are looking for some inexpensive neutral colors.

Covergirl Eye Enhancers In Sheerly Nudes

So I know, I know I haven't written anything In a while but school has been totally crazy. I purchased a Covergirl quad to see if maybe the Country Woods quad was just a bad one and didn't reflect the whole collection. I bought Sheerly Nudes which is very similar to Country Woods but is less has less amber undertones and more grey.
The quad (left to right) comes with a medium grey brown with shimmer, a medium brown pink with shimmer, a light frosty pink, and a frosty vanilla. The colors in the pan look pigmented but when swatched these are all sparkle and no color. The medium pink and the vanilla just show up as glitter. The brown color is a darker glitter. The only shadow having any pigment is the frosty light pink but that still isn't saying much. Overall you can't really do anything with this eyeshadow pallet except apply various types of slightly color shimmer to your eyes. Even with an eyeshadow primer this quad just does nothing. Overall it is a total dud and I have nothing more to really say about it. This product costs 6 to 7 dollars depending where you purchase it.
